Electric blues, golden heart.
This exceptional fluorite from the legendary Annabel Lee Mine, Illinois, is everything I love about classic Southern Illinois material. Razor-sharp cubic geometry, outstanding glassy luster, and incredible internal zoning combine to create a specimen that completely transforms as the light passes through it.
The vivid cobalt-blue edges melt into rich violet tones before revealing a glowing golden core hidden deep within the crystal. Every slight movement uncovers another layer of color, making this one impossible to stop looking at.
Specimens with this level of transparency, saturation, and zoning are becoming increasingly difficult to find, especially from the long-closed Annabel Lee Mine. A true collector-grade example of one of Illinois’ most iconic localities.
