Now THIS is a Buks Claim banger.

An absolutely killer 103.22 gram Amethyst from the legendary Buks Claim, Goboboseb Mountains, Namibia — loaded with that unmistakable deep BLURPLE color that makes these Namibian crystals so addictive.

The saturation is ridiculous. Deep royal purple explodes into electric blue-violet flashes as the light moves through the crystal, while the bold termination and natural surface character give this piece serious presence.

And at over 100 grams, this isn’t some little thumbnail showing great color — it’s a substantial crystal absolutely drenched in it. The kind of specimen you pick up, turn toward the light…and suddenly 20 minutes disappear.

Buks Claim continues to be one of my favorite localities for Amethyst, and pieces with this combination of size, saturation, form, and that signature blurple glow are exactly why.
