ANOTHER PIECE FOUND ON THE HUNT… AND THIS ONE STOPPED ME COLD.

An absolutely killer Dioptase from the N’tola Mine, Mindouli District, Pool Department, Republic of the Congo — and exactly the kind of specimen I’m always hoping to uncover when I’m out hunting.

The crystal architecture is incredible: a forest of sharp, highly lustrous crystals with such deep saturation they appear almost black until the light hits… then that unmistakable electric emerald-green Dioptase color EXPLODES from within.

Beautiful terminations, incredible depth, and a sculptural composition that delivers from every angle. This one has serious presence.

This is what the hunt is all about for me. You never know what’s sitting on the next table, tucked away in the next case, or waiting to be discovered.

Another incredible find added to the fleet. The hunt continues.
