A little overview of the Tanzanite section of my case… and every time I look at this lineup, I’m reminded why the hunt never stops.

Natural. Unheated. Tanzanite. From the legendary Merelani Hills, Simanjiro District, Tanzania — deep blues, electric violets, teal flashes and that insane natural pleochroism that can make one crystal look completely different with a turn of the hand.

These aren’t just specimens I accumulated. Every piece represents a hunt. Finding the right crystal, chasing the color, the form, the transparency, the unusual habits and those special pieces that immediately make you stop and stare.

That’s what collecting is for me. I’m not looking to simply fill a shelf — I’m hunting for the extraordinary. The pieces with personality. The ones nature spent millions of years creating and that somehow found their way into my hands.

Some hunts take days. Some take months. Some pieces you chase for years. But that moment when you uncover another truly special one? That’s the fuel.

The collection keeps evolving. The standards keep getting higher. And the passion only gets stronger.
