GOOSEBUMPS… The UNVEILING of my latest Acquisition of this absolutely incredible and massive 550.73g Etched Aquamarine stunner from Padre Paraiso, Brazil. These treasure from the earth ignite my soul and so incredibly special and the magic of the earth. Padre Paraíso etched aquamarine refers to highly desirable, natural beryl crystals from the Minas Gerais region of Brazil, known for their unique, naturally etched, and often complex geometric surface patterns. These specimens are typically gemmy, with glassy to matte luster, exhibiting soft blue to sea-blue, green-yellow (heliodor), or bi-color (aquador) colorations, often found as complete, “floater” crystals. Key Characteristics & Details: Origin: Specifically from the Ponto do Marambaia area in Padre Paraíso, Minas Gerais, Brazil. Appearance: These crystals possess complex, etched surfaces, sometimes featuring a “rolled-crepe” texture or, in rare cases, hollowed, “rattling” interiors (nicknamed “The Maraca”). Coloration: Ranges from light baby blue to deep sea-blue, with frequent, rare combinations of green-yellow heliodor and blue aquamarine, often called “aquador”. Quality: They are often described as highly transparent and gem-quality, making them excellent for both high-end mineral collections and specialized jewelry, such as wire-wrapped pendants. Recent Finds: These specimens have been part of significant, high-quality, and unique beryl finds from this specific Brazilian locality. Special shoutout to my homie Stewart @colombianquartzusa for the hand delivery and helping me source this beauty.
