Newly acquired Buks Claim Amethyst banger with multiple enhydros
Buks Claim amethyst refers to high-quality, deeply saturated, and often gemmy amethyst specimens sourced from a specific, renowned mining area in the Goboboseb Mountains of Namibia, managed by Buks Koekemoer. These rare, often “juice-bomb” purple crystals are frequently associated with hematite inclusions, phantoms, and enhydro (moving bubble) properties.
Key details about Buks Claim amethyst:
Location: Goboboseb area, near the Brandberg Mountains in Namibia.
Characteristics: Known for exceptional, rich purple color saturation, often in, small but powerful, “gemmy” or transparent crystals.
Unique Features: Many specimens feature red hematite inclusions, phantoms, or rare inclusions of water (enhydro).
Rarity: Considered highly desirable for collectors due to the specific, localized, and often, high-quality, output of the mine.
Source: Named after Buks Koekemoer, a well-known miner in the region.
These specimens are highly regarded in the crystal market for their unique, often, “iron-covered,” or, “phantom,” appearance.
