ROSICLARE ENERGY LOCKED IN…
This Denton Mine fluorite is pure old-school Illinois fire—stacked cubic growth drenched in deep violet zoning with molten golden cores glowing straight through the crystal. The balance of color here is unreal… rich blurple edges framing that warm honey interior with the exact kind of contrast that made Rosiclare-level material legendary.
The surfaces carry that classic slightly frosted, naturally etched texture collectors love from vintage Denton pieces, giving it a raw authenticity that modern material rarely captures. Add in subtle chalcopyrite association and the whole specimen just screams Harris Creek character.
Backlit, it absolutely comes alive—internal zoning lighting up like a miniature city of gold wrapped in electric purple glass. Every face, every edge, every layer tells the story of why Illinois fluorite still sits in a league of its own.
Mined circa 1980 and formerly housed in the Ross Lillie collection, this one carries the kind of provenance and presence serious collectors pay attention to.
Historic material. Legendary locality. Timeless Illinois heat.
