Filming this Denton Mine fluorite out in the sunlight and it absolutely comes alive. That soft lavender zoning starts glowing the second the light passes through, with the pool reflections bouncing across the crystal and lighting up every internal layer.

What makes this one hit different are the modified edges… not just clean cubic growth, but beautifully beveled faces that give the whole specimen a sculptural, almost melted look. Every turn catches a different reflection, revealing stepped growth, subtle geometry, and flashes of transparency that Illinois collectors chase hard.

The calcite association adds that extra texture and contrast, softening the composition while still letting the fluorite dominate the scene. Outside in natural light, the entire piece feels alive—classic Denton character with a refined twist.
