MINERVA FIRE WITH TETRAHEXOAHEDRAL EDGE MODIFICATIONS…
An absolute old-school Illinois heater glowing from the inside out. Deep smoky-purple fluorite wrapped around a molten honey-golden core, lighting up like amber when hit with the beam. The translucency and internal zoning here are everything collectors love about classic Cave-In-Rock material—rich color, dramatic contrast, and that unmistakable Minerva energy.
One of the standout features on this piece are the tetrahexahedral edge modifications along the cube faces. The edges are beautifully beveled and sculpted, softening the typical cubic geometry and giving the specimen incredible texture and dimensionality. It adds that refined, naturally reworked character that separates special Illinois fluorites from the ordinary.
From the legendary Minerva No. 1 Mine, Cave-In-Rock Sub-District, Hardin County, Illinois.
