Out in the natural sunlight with this absolute Southern Illinois heater…

The second this fluorite hits transmitted daylight it completely transforms. Saturated grape-purple cubes glow with electric blurple flashes while deep golden honey zoning lights up from within. Every angle reveals something different — razor sharp hopper growth, insane glassy luster, and that rich oxidized chalcopyrite interface that gives these old Illinois pieces so much character.

An old former North Star Minerals specimen from the legendary Rosiclare Level, Crystal Mine, Spar Mountain Area, Cave-in-Rock District, Southern Illinois — one of the most iconic fluorite localities ever mined in the United States. Material from this horizon has become seriously difficult to find, especially aesthetic documented examples with this kind of translucency, cube stacking, and color saturation.

The outdoor sunlight really shows why these classic Illinois fluorites are so loved by collectors… pure glowing magic straight from the earth. Measures approximately 2.5 x 6 x 6 cm and displays beautifully from every direction.

Pure Rosiclare-level perfection.
