Electric Congo combo
PhilipsborniteElectric Congo combo…
This miniature is absolutely loaded with color and contrast — yellow Mimetite crystals sharply perched across a glowing carpet of botryoidal blue Philipsbornite from the Yanga Koubenza Quarry, M’fouati, Republic of Congo (Brazzaville). The texture on this one is unreal… almost like frozen bubbles coated in neon.
Pieces from this locality are already highly sought after for their outrageous color combinations, but examples with this much saturation and crystal definition hit different. The lime-green Philipsbornite pops hard against that rich blue matrix, creating one of the wildest natural palettes you’ll see from Congo material.
Tiny specimen. Massive visual impact.
